Research
The two UK Companies that I am using for my essay are Dyson ( Top Left-Hand Corner) and Burberry (Top Right-Hand corner)
my main reason in using Dyson is because The founder of Dyson, James Dyson invented the vacuum cleaners himself and now has many important inventions that we seem to use. I was keen in how he solved the problem with the vacuum's losing their suction and the dust/dirt clogging up the vacuum.
2. how the 10 second hand dryers were better than the warm air hand dryers.
HOW this effected the environment.
The expenses on paper towels or paper tissue's that we use to dry our hands if there is no hand dryer. Why cant these paper towel / paper tissues be recycled.
The fan that doesn't make a buffeting noise, how is it possible to make a fan that doesn't have blades which spin to produce the air.
Burberry is a very, very old company, so I thought that being a old company that must have gone through a lot of changes with in the designs and the style or the type of class that they went for. The one garment that Burberry that stayed with is the Trench coat, the company had started with the trench coats and up till now they are still selling and designing trench coats.
How or what did Christopher Bailey do to change the Burberry's classic style to a HOT modernised fashion label.
These are some of my key points that I will be looking at in my essay, I will also be using different sources to provide me with the right information such as e-journals, offical websites and books.

Essay Question
My first Essay question was number 2. which was;
2. Show how the creative industries have become one of the most important sectors of the UK economy
In your discussion, show how other countries economic strategies, particularly the BRIC cultures, ( Brazil, Russia, India and China) are following suit.
BUT I HAD CHANGED MY QUESTION TOO NUMBER 1 WHICH IS;
1. Does design make a difference?
In your discussion you should give at least two examples of how design has made a difference in a UK ( Creative Industry) company. Your essay should discuss and map the company's transformation, through the impact of design, showing before and after effects, of both the product and the business.

Critical Analysis
We had to bring in an object and in pairs we had to do a critical analysis on the object. So Lucy had given us six questions that we had to follow and they were;
3. What does it feel like?
The object feels smooth but the round coin look-a-like object feels rough with little dents.
4. How many parts are there?
All together there are 56 parts, including the small hoops that link in to eachother.
5. What colour is it?
There is a mixture of colours, the necklace has black, light pink, silver, white and gold
6. what is the texture like?
The texture of the necklace is a mixture of soft pebbles, rough like stone and bumpy around the letter J and the round coin
the necklace is around 5months old
2. What does it look like?
the necklace is long, but the chain has small hoops that link in to eachother. It also has six different pieces of dangling key objects
