Bunmi Koko

Bunmi Koko’s salon show at Day 1 of Vauxhall Fashion Scout; ‘Journey of Discovery’ introduced a fiery and strong ‘Matriarchy Collection’ of prints. From Graduate Fashion Week’s University of East London show to fashion’s most important week of the year, couture womanswear and ready to wear fashion ’stampeded’ it’s mix of art and fashion for an outstanding display.
Previously studying at Wimbledon School of Art and Nigerian born, Bunmi has also worked as a fashion stylist, illustrator and now fashion designer. Her designs have been highly admired by the fashion director of The Daily Telegraph and other high profile celebrities such as Michelle Obama and Sadie Frost.
Setting the scene for Spring/Summer 2011, the Nigerian inspired garments celebrate female empowerment and domination with luxurious fabrics, ‘poured’ brilliant reds and earthy yellows across the marbled floor of Freemason’s Hall.
.  The company stock a wide range of luxury women's wear such as Evening wear, Bridal wear, African Couture and Sharpe tailoring.  Although the clothes are sculptured  all  clothes are original and cut to fit the female body form.  Bunmi gets her fabrics from UK surrounding, Africa and Asia.  the quality of the fabrics have to be high because each couture fabric is sourced for each client.
